Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
Head Chair
Aahana Mittal
Hi, I’m Aahana Mittal, and I’m fifteen years old, and I study at the Singapore American School (SAS). In my experiences as a delegate, I’ve truly enjoyed learning about conflicts in the world, meeting new people and creating diplomatic solutions. I’ll be your Head Chair for the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at MYMUN-MKIS, and as a chair I’m particularly interested in the ethical, economic and social aspects that this committee is focused on. With that, I genuinely look forward to meeting everyone, having productive debate, and seeing the solutions you bring to the conference. See you all in January!
Deputy Chair
Aidan Cheong
Hello everyone, my name is Aidan Cheong and I am currently a junior studying at Mont Kiara International School, Kuala Lumpur. As a newcomer to Model UN I am eager to participate in this conference, make new connections, and engage in productive committee sessions. I am enthusiastic for the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) as I like to engage in the challenge of creating policies and the ethical questions that arise from them. I enjoy this committee as it encourages delegates to think about the feasibility of progress from both a financial and cultural perspective. Ultimately, I am excited to participate as the Deputy Chair for ECOSOC at MYMUN, and I am excited to meet everyone in January.
