Hey, everyone! My name is Aditya and I’m a 15-year old student at Singapore American School. I love playing sports, namely tennis and basketball, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends. I’ve been a part of the Model United Nations program throughout high school, and am looking forward to having the opportunity of chairing you all in ASEAN this January. What I love most about MUN is the opportunities it provides you with to meet like-minded people and forge bonds across borders which will never be broken. Additionally, I love the insight it gives us into how the world truly works from a geopolitical perspective. I’m chairing ASEAN because the rapid growth of Southeast Asian economies has always intrigued me, especially as I live in Singapore and spend significant amounts of time in other regional countries for tourism. I’m looking forward to watching you all engage in fruitful debate and can’t wait to meet everybody as your Deputy Chair! See you all in action at MYMUN XIX!

Hi, my name is Nan Yi Mon Aung and I go by Nan. I am a 15 year old studying 9th grade at Singapore American School. While I am a bit newer to MUN, having been a delegate twice, with this conference being my first time chairing, I am excited to learn alongside everyone else. Coming from Myanmar myself, I’m thrilled to chair ASEAN, as I find the constant collaboration among the member states fascinating, and I believe it plays a crucial role when addressing any diverse challenges the region faces. I look forward to the fruitful discussions and can’t wait to see what innovative solutions our committee will come up with. Additionally, I hope to strengthen my ability to chair and contribute to the productive environment at MYMUN.
